Wynn Northern Lights Technique

Welcome fellow nature lovers and color obsessors!

My name is Victoria Wynn and I too am enamored with the beauty of Northern Lights! ?

My artistic background is in realism, yet I find the freedom of LUXE Fluid Art so enjoyable and freeing so I’ve combined my 2 loves!

Are you a perfectionist?
I sure am! ? I do have to set my perfectionist side down and get it into balance for this technique. I’m still particular, but I allow for change and working through mistakes.

I’ve personally innovated these techniques through hundreds of hours of trial & error. When using them, please give credit by using the term “Wynn Northern Lights” technique when you share them. It would be greatly appreciated!

WHAT ARE OTHERS SAYING?

IS THERE A SUPPLY LIST?

✔️Something to paint on (canvas, wooden wall art, tumbler, jewelry, clock face etc…)

✔️Acrylic or resin in black/navy and/or deep purple and white

✔️Floetrol if you’re an acrylic artist

✔️Embellishments are fun to use and add great resale value to your art.
Suggestions: LUXE Waterfx: “All Lit Up” (click here), LUXE Diamond Chips, LUXE Kaleidoscope Flakes, LUXE Genuine Gemstones, LUXE 3D Bubbles and/or LUXE Crushed Mirror

(Waterfx: ”All Lit Up” Embellishing Medium)

VIC’S QUICK TRICKS

1. Toss or sprinkle onto acrylic or resin art. I call it the “frisbee toss”

2. The above LUXE Powders listed look especially spectacular on a dark night sky background (blues, blacks, purples)

3. Adding a marbled background before tossing your LUXE Powders creates depth & visual interest to your Northern Lights piece.

4. The time to add embellishments such as crushed mirror, gems and 3D glass Bubbles is when your work is still wet.

5. Sometimes I add a solid color between all the bold color shifting powders to create visual interest. My personal go-to’s are Atlantic (click here) and Copper Penny (click here)!

That comment was some serious virtual chocolate chip cookies! lol As far as I know, you can add links to your comments so when you start creating, feel free to comment with your Northern Lights art so we can all see it! (If your link is from a facebook post, just make sure its set to “public”) I’m so thrilled to see your work. Can you tell?! lol -Victoria
